GUIDELINES
QUALIFICATIONS: The student's household must be current members of the Linover Improvement Association and, except for new members just moving into the community, must have been paid members for the past two years. Applicant, if chosen to receive a scholarship, must present a letter of acceptance from a college, university, or an acceptable higher education institute to the Association by August 1 of the current year. Otherwise the scholarship will be awarded to the next qualifying person. High School applicants who are applying may be graduates of private or public high schools. The applicants will be judged by persons who do not live in the Linover area, and all applications will be considered confidential and will not be made available to anyone except for the judges. The applicants will be judged on scholastic ability, desire, neighborhood involvement and extracurricular high school activities Financial need will not be a determining factor, therefore family financial data will not be necessary. After receiving a letter of acceptance from a college, university, or higher education institute, we will forward the institution a check to be used for tuition, books, room and board or lab fees. Any student applying must also have an acceptable grade point average for our committee. Awards will not be made if any student applying does not have an acceptable average.
Our applications will be sent to area high schools for your convenience. If your school does not have an application, contact Bud Frank 410-661-3797.
Drop application off to Bud Frank, 5175 Terrace Drive no later than April 15th of the current year.
Decision of the award by the judging committee shall be final.
